Spicy Chili Shrimp

This Spicy Chili Shrimp is amazing!  Not only is it spicy deliciousness but it is a quick and easy dish.  The Spicy Chili Shrimp goes perfectly with my sesame noodles (click for recipe link) too.  You could also serve it over plain white rice (or brown rice).  This entire dish could be cooked in 15 minutes or less, but you need more time to make the rice or noodles.  I actually love cold sesame noodles with the hot Spicy Chili Shrimp.  Enjoy!

Spicy Chili Shrimp

Ingredients
1 to 1 ½ pounds uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons soy sauce (I used low sodium.)
2 tablespoons chili sauce (I used a garlic chili sauce.)
2 teaspoons sesame oil (I used toasted sesame oil.)
2 teaspoons Chinese rice wine (I used Shaoxing cooking wine.)
-->
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
ground black pepper to taste

Directions

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, chili sauce, sesame oil, rice wine, and sugar.  Set aside.

Heat olive oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat.  Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.

Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3 to 4 minutes.

Add sauce mixture and stir to coat shrimp.  Cook for until shrimp is fully cooked, about 2 minutes.

Season with black pepper.

Serve over rice or noodles.

Serves 2 to 4.
